The theme of Alice was very challenging for me because of its popularity. I didn't want to just illustrate the Alice, but to create another world.

​

I wanted to make all my illustrations upside down, with head over heels. To create the duality of the situation, some kind of  dark madness with the inner dialog in Alice's head, instead of classic interpretation of curious girl steps into the mad wonderland.

​

Another challenge of this project was the messy style I choose to work instead of the clean and very accurate lines that usually I draw with (they are struggling with dirty spots). I wanted to show the inner madness and chaos in Alice's head.
